The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming blocked. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combos that require more care.

The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station as they are required.
