During the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to the choice of Franchise Cards. This alters the blueprints the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls, and those that are located in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item upgrader by improving its stats or attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's current level and what it will be after being leveled-up. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.

After choosing the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he is able to hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last between a few seconds and minutes, based on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the longevity of the item. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in combat without straining their bank accounts. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.

New players may find it difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are many ways to acquire the stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, get them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item an upgrade level, giving the item a boost in that area. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.

Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon next to their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to a single item at one time. Each upgrade component will require an amount of items and a minimum equipment level.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item to be upgraded. On the right, previews show what the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once a player has enough materials by pressing the yellow arrow, it will start the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the base stats of an item will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item upgrading is 19.

Once an item reaches the maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available to it. When an item reaches a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will come with discounts.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools in order to provide an additional effect or bonus while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.

Requirements

The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ based on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a number of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).

The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. These will provide additional effects or an increase in quality of the item. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an item upgrade, it isn't able to be removed or replaced freely, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.

The upgrade of an item can boost its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components include additional modifiers which can further enhance the stats of the item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense and provides an additional 20% chance to block. The DPS "Wildfire" however, increases weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial to some items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.

If you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the required requirements. These include the item type (either weapon or armor) and the level of the item as well as the Upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

The game will add an item in your inventory when you've fulfilled the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are towards getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any NPC that upgrades items.
