World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like an ideally rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also alter the stats of the base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items inaccessible, unless you're very lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to improve their performance. This can increase the defense of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves can boost their strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will get when upgraded in addition to their respective values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will strike 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the menu for items. The item upgrade will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can receive from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all each of which requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large group of foes. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power when you're a Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have a few upgrades to the chest armor and helmets so that you can get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the Best item upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP level.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you make use of it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have the duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The table of potion now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the contents and refills the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket could be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant such as a tiny thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. You can upgrade their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

When the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade item their highest priority items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other gear items that they won't replace soon (for example an earring or cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players should consider the preferred statistics of their class. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to ruin the previous trinket until it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying new ones.
