But there’s much more to the 122 lb boxing division weight divisions than simply who is in the top 10 right now. The sport has evolved a great deal over the years and as such, today there are many more divisions than there used to be.
Professional boxing features a spectrum of weight classes, each designed to ensure fair and competitive bouts. These range from the lightest, the Minimumweight class (105 lbs), to the heaviest, the Heavyweight class, which has no upper weight limit. In between, there are classes like Light Flyweight, Flyweight, Super Flyweight, Bantamweight, Super Bantamweight, Featherweight, Super Featherweight, Lightweight, Super Lightweight, Welterweight, Super Welterweight, Middleweight, Super Middleweight, Light Heavyweight, and Cruiserweight.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW 1) you can not compete with out an up to date USA Boxing Masters Passbook and Physical (Masters ages 45 and older must also have an Exercise EKG / Stress Test every 5 years). Passbooks are good for a calendar year (Expires December 31st of every years) EXAMPLE: You got your passbook April 23rd, 2019. Your book will be good until December 31st, 2019. Your physical regular physical is good for a full year. EXAMPLE: you had your physical on March 15th 2019, your physical is good until March 15th 2020. Those ages 45 and older must also have an Exercise EKG also known as the Stress test. These are good for 5 years.
Success wasn’t easy: the biggest obstacle was time. The challenge was to dedicate the proper amount of time to prepare for a tough bout and still be strong at the end. John thought out scenarios beforehand in order to adjust to any situation he faced.

Bantamweight was first established in the 1890s by the American Boxing Association. It would subsequently appear under other rules, such as The Queensberry Rules and the London Prize Ring Rules, in which the weight limit fluctuated between 105 lbs and 116 lbs. However, the NSC officially sanctioned it in 1909 at the current weight limit of 118 lbs.
Most notable names from this division are the Thai native Thammanoon Niyomtrong, better known for his ring name �[https://www.bbc.co.uk/search/?q=%98Knockout%20CP �Knockout CP] Freshmart’ and the Puerto Rican, Oscar Collazo, who is a rising star having recently won the WBO Mini flyweight title.
