Why All The Fuss Over Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes increases its other features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.
The racial Shield elite Razortail For instance, it is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capability in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the unupgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item such as an armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced with another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective way to upgrade gear. They don't maintain the original level of the item and any wasted resources aren't rewarded.
The surviving players can acquire Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in crates and chests or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item such as increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can reroll their equipment into three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To make them, you need a higher level reroll token. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains in the space until the next Success result is to be rerolled. This allows you to save upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they are open they will display a complete description and the icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. These stones can also be obtained by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players must first locate the appropriate item and then click on the "level up" button. This will display a list of the item's levels and what it will be after being upgraded. It will also display the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires just one blue or green Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. When the requirements are satisfied, the user can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.
The upgrade process is risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who want to gain an advantage in battle, but don't want to strain their wallets. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto a new piece of gear.
The process of getting Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for players who are new to the game. There are a variety of ways to acquire them. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that lets players increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item upgrader mod with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain an upgrade to a higher level. This process can continue until the item is at its highest level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display a blue icon in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components cannot be stacked against each other, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an item to be upgraded. On the right side, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. When a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of the item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
Once an item upgrader kit has reached its highest level, upgrades are no longer available for it. Likewise, once an item is on an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to the track will be offered at discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, obtained through quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
item level upgrade upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of weapons and armor that they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the item type but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Item upgrade components can be used to make set pieces and weapons for extra effects or a higher level of the item. These upgrades can be gotten from a variety of sources within the game, including through crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it can't be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can increase the item's statistics.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun" for instance, increases the base defense and gives an additional 20 percent chance of blocking. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases damage to weapons.
Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get a perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will place an item in your inventory once you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show how close you are to getting the upgrade items completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
