Indisputable Proof Of The Need For Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - item upgrades Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For example the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. This is usually a good factor, but it could also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their stats. This can increase the defense base of a chest or helm, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will get when upgraded and their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 33% attack damage when it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button with circling arrows in the item upgrades menu. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make a a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poison and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to traverse difficult terrains. The more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as possible.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each will vary. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a decent-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is Best item upgrade to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to your potion require a specific amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the Item Upgrader Kit's Rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were a few updates to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For instance, splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effect. The table of potions has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying an entirely new one. A player can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade players should take into account their class's preferred statistics. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks, they should prioritize upgrading their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and chest.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket has an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
