WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with the help of button, which displays an item's preview at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item upgrader mod. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item level upgrade upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is even if the items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut also, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are a crucial component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used on equipment of a particular rank, and every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated can require as much as 20 crests depending on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
