1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro and its sibling, the pricier Q7 Max Series, are among the most powerful robot vacuums we've tested. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. They also come with carpet boost, a feature that boosts the robot's performance when it sees the presence of dirt on the carpet to get it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors They're also particularly adept in cleaning pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws that keep them from being our top pick. One of the Q5's shortcomings is that its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to get stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people efficiently during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

Its obstacle detection was great and it was able to avoid fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically empties into its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
