The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective, but this is something that you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and also identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.

Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will traverse your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It's important to remember that it carries recurring expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three month.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum reviews vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair that shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and getting its work done.

The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which could be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot vacuum cleaner best or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about their children playing with the automatic vacuum cleaner and mop.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in an obstacle like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxes.
