1. Engine Speed Sensor

2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at full speed I noticed a significant reduction in power. It was like the engine had run out of gas. Or my injectors weren't firing. I took out the spark plugs this morning, 3 were soaked in gasoline, and the 4th was dry. When i crank the engine with no sparks i put tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 drenched with gazoline jump out but the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I found 0ohm. So i assume the problem is somewhere else.

I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is disconnected and runs fine when it is connected but it still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c, even if I unplug it. Also i noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.

I don't know what to do. I feel like i've pretty much eliminated everything else. But i am afraid I may have missed something. Please let me know if you have any ideas! TIA!

3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. It is easy to find an extra in a wrecking shop or a parts store. Test them out by putting your DMM in resistance mode and measure the resistance between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector end up) and 2 (2nd from left on the black end of the connector). 4. ECU

A failing G28 sensor could cause an inaccurate speed counter for your gearbox or a gearbox that shifts faster than normal, or a misfire in the gear. It is possible that the sensor is failing and needs to be replaced if you encounter any of these symptoms. 5. Tachometer

A faulty engine speed sensor could be the reason behind many issues with your car.
